• What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? Back in 1991 when we moved here, it looked like a really nice place to stay and it was much less crowded than San Jose. I grew up in a small town anyway in Michigan.
• What is the closest you've been to a famous person? I used to drive a cab in San Jose and I had Jerry Seinfeld in the cab. He was supposed to appear on Johnny Carson, but he got bumped off. This was the next night. He was kind of pissed about it. I've been with others, but he was probably the most well-known. In fact, he invited me to come in and see him perform at the Garden City. There's a really funny thing that happened about a year later: My two brothers live in Michigan; one of them went up to this guy and asked him where the bathroom was. It was Jerry Seinfeld. Talk about coincidences.
