Letter: Abe represents the small-town interests

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Roger Abe would best represent Wheatland’s small-town interests. Wheatland is a small town which has never had a local representative on the Board of Supervisors – to our recollection.

Now that Wheatland is a growing community it is time for us to be represented.

Fortunately we have a hometown candidate who has superb qualifications...Wheatland schools grad, Yuba College grad, CSU grad, McGeorge School of Law grad and farmer.

We urge everyone in the District 4 area to turn out to vote June 3 for Roger Abe. If you can’t make it, there is still time to mail in your card for the absentee ballot.

HOMELESS SHELTER?
Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
Yes. We've gone too long with limited options for homeless families.
It's a good idea, but the fire station is a bad location for this.
No. The city has better things they can use the building for.
I'm not sure.
