Master Sgt. Tony Sutter
U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Tony Sutter is the son of John and Vicki Garton of Yuba City.
Sutter entered the Air Force after graduating early from Yuba City High School in February 1988. He completed his basic training at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas, then air traffic controller training at Kessler AFB in Biloxi, Miss.
Sutter's assignments have included Beale AFB; Yokota AFB, Japan; Osan AFB, South Korea; Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras; and Tyndall AFB, Fla. His current station is Moron Air Base, Spain.
Highlights during Sutter's 19-plus year career include raising two daughters, Courtney, 18, and Shalena, 13, as well as earning four scholastic degrees, becoming fluent in Spanish and teaching new air traffic controllers.
