Air National Guard Senior Airman Horacio Martinez graduated from the Network Infrastructure Systems Appentice Course at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss.

His wife, Cheney, is the daughter of Wes E. and Elizabeth K. Johnson of Marysville. His parents are Carlos and Guillermina Martinez of Kyle, Texas.

Navy Reserve Seaman Tim Gamble Galarsa, a 2009 graduate of River Valley High School in Yuba City, completed U.S. Navy basic training and was promoted at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

He is the son of Lisa M. and stepson of Phillip A. White of Yuba City.

Army Reserve Pvt. John M. Cardoza, son of Capatolla Cardoza and John Cardoza of Olivehurst, graduated from basic training at Fort Sill, Okla., to serve as a member of the Army National Guard or Reserve.

He is attending Lindhurst High School.

Army Reserve Pvt. Joseph Gillock graduated from basic training at Fort Sill, Okla.

He will serve as a member of the Army National Guard or Reserve.

The son of Gerald Gillock of Marysville, he is a student at Lindhurst High School.

Air Force Airman Gloria K. Ball, daughter of Clayton Sims of Marysville, graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

She graduated in 2000 from Wheatland High School and received an associate's degree in 2002 from Yuba College.

Air Force Airman John A. Haymore graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

The son of Daniel Haymore of Yuba City, he is a 2003 graduate of Yuba City High School.

The son of Becky Looney of Sutter, he is a 2009 graduate of Sutter Union High School.
