Jose Alcantar
Jose Alcantar, 53, of Yuba City died Sept. 16, 2006, at his residence.
Born in Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico, he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 35 years.
He was a printing press operator for Davis Printing in Yuba City.
He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Alejandrina Alcantar of Yuba City; a daughter, Yesel Alcantar of Yuba City; a son, Daniel Alcantar of Yuba City; his parents, Miguel and Ana Maria Alcantar of Yuba City; five sisters, Maria Lomeli of Yuba City, Carmen Alcantar, Irene Garcia and Rosa Mejia, all of Sacramento, and Cuca Silva of Santa Maria; and six brothers, Jesus Alcantar, Enrique Alcantar and Oscar Alcantar, all of Yuba City, Miguel Alcantar and Eduardo Alcantar, both of Sacramento, and Carlos Alcantar of Manteca.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Esperanza Valencia.
Services: A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Wednesday, preceded by recitation of the rosary at 3 p.m., at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 222 Clark Ave., Yuba City. Rev. Juan Perez will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City.
