Christy Gazanian of Arcadia and Mathew Cooper of Yuba City plan to wed Nov. 3 at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena.
The bride-to-be, daughter of Gil and Carrie Gazanian of Arcadia, is a 2003 graduate of Arcadia High School. She is a 12th-grade English teacher at her alma mater.
She received degrees from Azusa Pacific University, a bachelor's in English in 2007 and a master's in education in 2009.
Her fiancé, the son of Gary and Dianne Cooper of Yuba City, is a 2003 graduate of Sutter Union High School.
He received a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering with a minor in English from the University of Southern California in 2008.
He is an engineering consultant and technical writer in Monrovia.
