What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? Born in Gridley, moved to Fort Bragg for eight years after college, moved back to the area in 1978 when we bought a business.
Favorite places in the area? We love the Buttes and the Grass Valley area. Also, we are within a few hours of so many different places.
What is the closest you've been to a famous person? Spoke to Charles Barkley passing through the airport in Phoenix.
What would you do with a million dollars? Pay off the mortgage, help our children, travel within the US to Missouri and abroad to Israel.
Favorite musical group: The Eagles.
What has had a strong influence in your life? Being a Christian has shaped my life.
What was your first job? As a child — picking up prunes.
What is your dream job? Playing shortstop in the major leagues.
Club/organization membership? We attend Cornerstone Evangelical Church and belong to the Community Memorial Museum of Sutter County/ Historical Society and the Nevada County Historical Society.
What is your pet peeve? People throwing down trash wherever they are.
What is one of your fondest memories? Childhood — fishing and hunting with my dad.
What would you like to see different in the community? More trees.
