Occupation: Principal at St. Isidore Catholic School.

Hobbies, interests: My hobbies and interests revolve around the kids right now. I enjoy coaching my daughter's soccer and softball teams. We spend a lot of time outdoors, playing sports and riding bikes.

Favorite places to go to in the area? We always end up at St. Isidore. We live one street away and it's the "park" we always end up riding our bikes to.

Where do you get your news? Online.

What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? We moved back to the area so our kids could grow up close to grandparents and family. We wanted them to have the same type of childhood we had growing up.

Where would you like to settle down someday? We talk about living in a bigger city, maybe closer to the ocean.

Where is your dream vacation? I'd like to go back to Italy and just spend a whole year living in Rome.

Who has had a strong influence in your life? My grandparents — They were Japanese-American and were sent to internment camps during World War II. I asked my grandmother about that time in her life and her response was, "It wasn't that bad. We made do with what we had. The important thing was the family was still together." They never held resentment about that time in their life.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? I always wanted to be a teacher, every now and then a singer.

What is your pet peeve? People who love to complain, but are unwilling to take action. If you have a problem with something, work to find a solution.

What do you like about yourself? My optimism; it's that Pollyanna complex.

What are you best known for? My dancing…it's really, really good.

What would you do with a million dollars? With the way things are going, it can easily be spent sending my kids through college.

Favorite sports teams: San Francisco 49ers and Giants.
