Letter: Articles about official hurtful, disrespectful

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

The recent articles involving Edward Baker's autopsy results were absolutely unnecessary. As I do understand this information is public information, I feel these articles were written in extreme inconsideration for his family.

This family has suffered in dealing with the loss of a loved one; the articles were very tasteless as well as very hurtful by the headlines. This man may have held a high position in our area, but ultimately was a son, father and husband. I feel there has been extreme disrespect to his family in the manner the articles were displayed. I do not understand the relevance of the articles.

Please have respect and consideration for the family of this man and let them try to heal and go on. I have experienced this type of death in my family, to an extremely close loved one, so I have very strong feelings of how you have handled this. Please think of the family prior to the way an article is written. What was the point of an article of this type? To satisfy the curiosity of some?
