• What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? My family moved here when I was 8. A month after the flood of 1986, my mom bought a gas station which had become cheap. It was a business opportunity, you might say.

• What keeps you in the Yuba-Sutter area? My family and all my childhood friends are still here. It's a close-knit environment.

• What is the closest you've been to a famous person? I shook hands with Jerry Rice and got his autograph when the 49ers used to hold training camp in Rocklin (in the 1990s).

• Favorite television show: "The Office"

• Favorite sports teams: San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Lakers

• What was your first job? Working at the Marysville post office as a mail sorter on the graveyard shift. It was a good time; I stay in touch with the people I worked with, made some close friends out of it.

• How would you describe yourself? I'm funny, outgoing and like to have good time. I'm pretty conservative and I live life one day at a time. I like to think I'm a good friend, too.
