Letter: RV Junior Falcons wished good luck

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

As longtime community members, it is such a privilege to personally witness our community's most prized gift: our youth.

One special group close to our hearts are the athletes of the River Valley Junior Falcons. These young football players and cheerleaders - more than 250 strong - strengthen the culture of our community and we are proud of the energy and enthusiasm they provide in our lives.

On behalf of our organization's board, we would like to extend our gratitude to the local businesses and community members who continually support River Valley youth football and cheer.

We are also privileged by the local medical professionals who support our athletes in encouraging and developing their physical fitness. We were very fortunate and very grateful to Dr.

Gurmail Brar, Dr. Hamid Kourdoni, Stephanie Newman, FNP, Diane Thomasen, RNP, and their professional support staff: Karamjit, Elizabeth, Monica and Jay in providing sports physicals this year at RVHS for our athletes.

Join us in wishing our athletes the best of luck in their pursuit of another successful season full of hard work, sportsmanship, integrity, life lessons, and laughter.

HOMELESS SHELTER?
Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
Yes. We've gone too long with limited options for homeless families.
It's a good idea, but the fire station is a bad location for this.
No. The city has better things they can use the building for.
I'm not sure.
