Local artwork part of KVIE auction
The "2012 KVIE Art Auction," to air in September on the Sacramento region's PBS Channel 6, will feature more than 300 pieces of art created by Northern California artists.
Five artists from the Yuba-Sutter area will have their work included in the juried competition: Paul Boehmke of Sutter (a glass piece, "Sunrise"); Sherry Hoon of Marysville (a watercolor, "My Summer Place"); Carol Keesling of Yuba City (an oil on board, "Nova Trail"); Tamara Spoto of Live Oak (a ceramic piece, "Sig Flower"); and Sheelah Venegas of Dobbins (a photograph, "Street Repair").
All the artwork will be on display during the auction broadcast set for 8-11 p.m. Sept. 28 and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sept. 29 and 30.

KVIE will host a preview gala to honor the winners from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Sept. 24 at its studios in Sacramento. Tickets for the gala are $50 and are available at the above URL or by calling 916-641-3663.
