Business Briefs: Citrus tasting next weekend in Wheatland
More than 40 varieties of citrus are featured in the fourth-annual fruit tasting hosted by Flower Hut Nursery in Wheatland.
The free event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Feb. 10 at 603 Fourth St.
Varieties include calamondins, citrons, limequats, blood oranges and tangelos.
Staff will answer questions about growing the fruit.

Papa Murphy's aiding Relay for Life team
Papa Murphy's Take 'N Bake Pizza in Yuba City will be donating 20 percent of its regular-priced sales on Wednesday to the "Going to Bat for Bob" Relay for Life team.

Gala to honor Rideout Heart Center
Attendees are invited to wear their favorite red dress or shirt or tie to the Red Hot Gala celebrating the Heart Center at Rideout.
The Heart Center is one of 73 hospitals nationwide to recently receive the American College of Cardiology Foundation's Silver Performance Award.
Set at 6 p.m. Feb. 16 at Colusa Casino Resort, the event includes wine and chocolate tastings, dinner, an awards ceremony and music by the Jeff Poppinga Band.
Tickets are $50 per person or $1,000 for a table for 10. All proceeds will help fund new digital echocardiography equipment.

Bank of Feather River income expands 107%
Bank of Feather River in Yuba City reported a net income of $541,000, with a pretax net income of $864,000 for the three-month period ending Dec. 31.
The pretax net income showed a 107 percent increase over 2011.
The bank's assets grew 9 percent to $56 million, with loans growing 2 percent to $42 million and deposits increasing 8 percent to $47 million.

Tri Counties Bank parent firm's earnings fall
TriCo Bancshares announced earnings of $4.7 million, or 29 cents per diluted share, for the quarter ended Dec. 31.
The same three months in 2011 showed earnings of $6.5 million, or 41 cents per diluted share.
TriCo Bancshares is the parent company of Tri Counties Bank, with branches throughout Northern California, including in Yuba City, Marysville and Colusa.
