The Yuba College baseball team suffered a tough, 8-5 loss at Napa Valley on Wednesday.
The 49ers committed seven errors – and left 14 runners on base.
“We had so many opportunities and couldn’t get it done,” said Yuba coach Tim Gloyd.
Brennan Alejo led the way at the plate by going 3 for 5 with three doubles and an RBI and manned the infield without an error – the only one to do so.
“We’re just not playing catch right now,” Gloyd added.
Brian Boss went 2 for 3 and Joe Garcia went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and a double for Yuba (7-13, 3-7).
