Your liberal bias is showing. In the first sentence of the story "Binninger seeking new term on board" (July 15), Lou Binninger is characterized as "an opponent of abortion and gay marriage..." In his position on the school board, I would be surprised if he sets policy on either of these issues. The article could just as well have read, "a proponent for life from the moment of conception, and of traditional morality."

Or, I have an even better idea: Since Barack Obama, a candidate for president of these United States — a position that will have enormous influence on the nation's abortion policy — is rabidly pro-abortion, why not start every article about him noting that he has boasted he has a 100 percent approval rating from the abortion advocacy group Planned Parenthood (compared to rival McCain's zero-percent rating). Obama has further stated, "I made it equally clear that I will never back down from making sure that women have their reproductive rights here in this country — that's what's at stake in this election."

In no way do I mean to diminish the importance of Mr. Binninger's contributions to the Yuba County Board of Education, but I can almost guarantee voters in Yuba County are more interested in Mr. Obama's abortion policies than Mr. Binninger's.
