Abortion does most harm to blacks

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Recent Associated Press articles note the tragic downfall of the black American male. Most will never raise their offspring. Peer pressure to “dis” education, and rap music’s glorification of gang and prison life, have led to their being incarcerated at five times the rate of whites. Nearly half the nation’s murder victims in 2005 were black, with 93 percent of those killed by fellow blacks.

What journalists ignore is that abortion has done far greater damage to blacks than the lynchings of the Klan (3,446 deaths between 1882 and 1968) or being murdered (6,783 in 2005) or going to prison.

Since 1973, more than 13 million members of the black community have been killed by abortion. Every day, 1,453 babies die as nearly three of five pregnant black women abort them.

This is no accident. Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, was a racist. She determined to eliminate blacks by placing abortion clinics in their neighborhoods. It worked.

Today, 80 percent of Planned Parenthood’s abortion facilities are in black communities. Nearly as many black babies are aborted as are born. A black child’s life is three times more likely to be ended in the womb than a white’s.

Planned Parenthood is accomplishing what the Klan failed to do. The NAACP leadership plays right along. At their July convention, they canceled Alveda King’s (Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece) scheduled pro-life speech. Who is the black leadership looking out for anyway?

HOMELESS SHELTER?
Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
Yes. We've gone too long with limited options for homeless families.
It's a good idea, but the fire station is a bad location for this.
No. The city has better things they can use the building for.
I'm not sure.
