Police Blotter: July 16, 2008

FELONY ARRESTS

• Charles Eugene Hewett, 56, of the 1700 block of Glen Street, Marysville, was arrested by the Marysville Police Department at 3:10 a.m. July 15 at his residence on suspicion of making criminal threats and trespassing. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

• Terrence Peter Vogt, 42, no address listed, was arrested by the Yuba County Sheriff's Department at 6:35 a.m. July 14 in the 4600 block of Pacific Avenue on suspicion of petty thef with a prior conviction. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

• Robert Joseph Lucas, 46, of the 5500 block of Feather River Boulevard, Yuba County, was arrested by the Marysville Police Department at 2:43 p.m. July 14 at Longs Drug Store in the 800 block of J Street on suspicion of petty theft with a prior conviction, attempted burglary and receiving stolen property. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

• Cody Bill Williams, 34, of the 3300 block of Presley Street, Yuba City, was arrested by the Yuba City Police Department at 7:37 p.m. July 14 in the 500 block of King Avenue on suspicion of false imprisonment. He was booked into Sutter County Jail.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE ARRESTS

• Christopher Michael Aguilar, 21, of Rancho Cordova, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol at 3:05 a.m. July 15 at Highway 99 and Franklin Road. He was booked into Sutter County Jail.

HOMELESS SHELTER?
Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
