Business Briefs: Marcello's Italian Restaurant aiding dance squad
Marcello's Italian Restaurant is donating a portion of a day's sales to Team JDE Booster Club, a nonprofit group raising money for the competition dance team from Jacques Dance Expressions.
Customers can help in the fundraiser slated from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday by writing "Team JDE" on their food purchase bill that day.
The restaurant, owned by Octavio and Alma Perez, is located at 1235 Bridge St., Yuba City.

Farm Bureau scholarship applications open
The California Farm Bureau is accepting applications for its 2013 scholarships open to students who are Farm Bureau collegiate members in the state.
Applications can be found online at cfbf.com/programs/scholar.
Students are required to be pursuing a career in an agricultural occupation at a four-year college and must be residents of California.
Applications must include high school transcripts, college transcripts and two recent letters of recommendation.
The deadline to submit an application is March 1.

Almond Board nominations due Jan. 20
Nomination petitions are due by Jan. 20 for a position on the Almond Board of California's board of directors.
Seats open are two independent grower-member; two independent grower-alternate.
Each candidate must be a grower and submit a petition signed by at least 15 verified independent growers of almonds.
The nominations must be filed with the Almond Board of California, 1150 Ninth St., Suite 1500, Modesto, CA 95354.
