Letter: Please keep 'Books to Borrow' column

It has come to my attention that the wonderfully written column "Books to Borrow ... Books to Buy," which appears weekly in the Appeal-Democrat, may be discontinued.

Please consider the needs of parents, educators and librarians as well as readers in general when you make your decision regarding continuing this column.

It is harder than ever for parents to access books today without many bookstores.

This column offers advice on the importance of reading and where to access well reviewed books for children. It is written by a well-informed, nonbiased expert.

The directive to local libraries is especially valuable.
