Carroll E. Boyd

Carroll “Ike” Easton Boyd, 86, of Brownsville died Jan. 3, 2006, at his residence.


Born in Merrimac, Wis., he was a Mid-Valley resident for more than 40 years.


He was retired from the U.S. Department of Forestry in Brownsville.


He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1941 to 1945 as a military policeman.


Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mildred Boyd of Brownsville; five sons, David Boyd of Yuba City, Delbert Boyd of Oroville, Paul Boyd of Palermo, and Randall Boyd and Richard Boyd, both of Bandon, Ore.; three daughters, Terran Boyd of Woodland, Melinda Brave of Graham, Wash., and Sharol Boyd of Winston, Ore.; two sisters, Vivian Dixon of San Carlos and Jayne Gregory of Baraboo, Wis.; a brother, Gerald Boyd of Reno, Nev.; and 13 grandchildren.


Donations may be made to a charity of choice.


Services: A private service was held. Arrangements were under the direction of Lipp and Sullivan Chapel in Marysville.
