Hobbies, interests: I like softball — I don't play anymore, but I used to. Hanging and spending time with my family; we watch sports a lot.

Where do you get your news? Most of the time on the Internet, or just watching the news.

What keeps you in the Y-S area? My husband and I bought our first home together here; I moved here about 10 years ago. My husband's the one who got me to move here.

What's the closest you've been to a famous person? I used to work for an airline, so I would see some famous people come through: Mike Ditka — he was actually super nice — Christopher Lloyd, Jackie Chan, Chris Rock, David Hasselhoff one time, Brooke Shields and Cybill Shepherd.

If you could have just one wish, what would it be? I would love to take my mom and husband and travel the world, all expenses paid. There's just so much out there to see and visit.

Favorite places in the Yuba-Sutter area: I like Cilantros on Plumas Street and El Marino off Bridge Street.

Education: I grew up in Los Angeles, but I just graduated from Yuba College. I went back to school after 10 years.

Clubs, organizations you belong to: Not on a daily basis, just when Relay for Life comes around. When it comes along in June, we get a team.

Person you most admire: I'd have to say my mom. I think some of the stuff she told me actually stuck in my head. She's taught us the value of a dollar and to work hard. She is always so helpful. She would find a way to help someone.

What would you change about the community? I would add more programs for children, like educational programs or recreational programs. I'd like to see more entertainment, like an ice rink or Scandia.

Favorite movies: "Die Hard," all four of them.

Favorite singer: Brad Paisley. I listen to all kinds of music, but I do like him.

Favorite TV shows: Right now, I like "Modern Family."
