Letter: Measure T signs taken in Brownsville

We can hardly believe it: the yes on Measure T sign we had at our house out on the road disappeared in the middle of the night!

On contacting Hal Stocker, we learned almost all of such signs in the Challenge-Brownsville-Oregon House area disappeared at the same time. The guilty party(s) left only one sign that is downtown Brownsville.

Altogether, 13 signs were stolen, eight large ones (4-by-8 feet) and five small ones.

At the same time, the opposition's signs (No on T) have proliferated in the areas.

We understand Stocker intends to offer a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the culprits.

In all our years observing political campaign in the foothills, we cannot remember anything quite so disgusting.
