50th Anniversary: Bundock

August 26, 2006 - Alta Sierra residents Dave and Nurene Bundock, the former Nurene Bowman, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a catered buffet luncheon May 6 at the Sierra Presbyterian Church in Nevada City.

Hosted by their children and grandchildren, the celebration included a rededication of their wedding vows officiated by Pastor Scott Dickson and a video showing past family events.

Former residents of Marysville, the couple were married May 6, 1956, at First Christian Church in Marysville.

He is retired from Caltrans.

She is a retired teacher for Linda Elementary School.

The couple have three children, Fred Bundock and Cindy Nickles, both of Sacramento, and Randy Bundock of Folsom; and three grandchildren.

Aside from the celebration, the couple enjoyed a European vacation beginning in London and ending in Paris.
