U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Ryan Michael Burke , a 2007 graduate of Marysville High School, completed basic training at the Marine Corps recruit depot in San Diego.
He also received training as a small weapon technician at Fort Lee, Va., and is stationed at Camp Pendleton.
He is the son of Michael and Jeannette Burke of Marysville and the grandson of William and Marjorie Burke of Yuba City, Rex Rollins of Marysville and the late Catherine Rollins.

U.S. Army Infantry Lt. Scott Wright graduated from the elite Ranger and Airborne Schools at Fort Benning, Ga.
He is assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas.
The son of Susan and John Wright of Yuba City, he is a 2006 graduate of Yuba City High School and a 2010 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Alexander Albrecht graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
He is the son of Steve and Nancy Albrecht of Yuba City.

Army Spec. Nicolas R. Hansen , the son of Mary Hansen of Live Oak, graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.
He graduated in 2001 from Live Oak High School and received a bachelor's degree in 2007 from Kentucky Wesleyan College, Owensboro, Ky.
