Americans don't learn from history, we are about to choose the next president of the United States and there is the distinct possibility that we might elect someone who is worse than Jimmy Carter.
I served under Carter while in the Army in the '70s and remember a president who inspired no one while interest rates soared into double digits and the economy slumped. Carter downsized the military and left the troops with old equipment, poor training and inadequate pay. Now I see a Jimmy Carter wannabe, who has no experience running a business nor in doing his job as a U.S. senator. If he were elected president it would be as if I was made head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. Sure, they might win a game with luck, but it wouldn't be because of me; but wouldn't I look great in that jersey.
This is not the time for rookies; this is not the time for a commander in chief who loves the U.N. more than the U.S. For you citizens who still want Obama, you'll see change alright, because that's all you'll have left after he takes your Jacksons, Grants and Franklins.
