Letter: Opinion cartoon praised
The July 31 political redistricting cartoon was funny!
The A-D published that cartoon twice; the second run included some of the artist's comments. I don't see anything racist in it. Sometimes, people just look very hard for something, anything, wrong.
The A-D's journalistic responsiblity is to print and deliver news, from every possible angle. I would think the artist of that cartoon hit a nerve with many readers. But isn't truth the base of all humor?
She should be proud of the cartoon that provoked such reaction. Reaction is good. But calling it racist is small-minded.
