Letter: Secession cartoon was anti-Christian

This is to protest the editorial cartoon in Nov. 15's paper. If this cartoon carried an ugly slur against gays or Muslims, would you print it? If not, why print an ugly cartoon showing a seccesionist with a gun in a holster with a cross on it?

This is an ugly, hate-filled slur against Christians, and is a lie about our beliefs. Is hatred against Christians the last acceptable prejudice in the US?

Before printing any fingers to others, I believe a person should first deal with the hatred and venom in his own heart.

When this cartoonist looks at the "seccessionist" in the picture, he's looking in the mirror at himself. This hatred against Christians is uncalled for and vicious. We deserve better than that.
