He is a a 2008 graduate of Sutter Union High School and the son of Teresa Smith of Sutter.

Army Pfc. Auston C. Duggins graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

The son of Nanette Duggins of Yuba City, he is a 2010 graduate of Faith Christian High School.

Army National Guard Spec. Mathurin J. Kasten graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, SC, training exercises.

The son of Billy Kasten of Marysville, he earned a bachelor's degree in 2011 from San Jose State University.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Robert W. Brookins II completed US Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

He is the brother of Allison S. Ruthem of Beale Air Force Base.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Christopher G. Shipman was promoted to his current rank upon graduation from recruit training at Great Lakes, Ill.

The son of Janet L. Shipman and Dale E. Shipman of Yuba City, he is a 2003 graduate of Yuba City High School.

Tepner is the son of Robert Tepner of Olivehurst.

He is a 2005 graduate of Rio Linda High School in Sacramento.
