Charles W. Page Sr.
Charles Walter Page Sr., 90, of Roseville died April 3, 2006, at Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
Born in El Paso, Texas, he was a resident of Placer County for 10 years, formerly living in Compton and Fullerton.
He retired after working as owner/operator of a Mobile full service station with Standard Oil Co. for more than 34 years, receiving the Award of Merit from the Mobile Oil Corp. three times.
He was a member of the Catholic church; the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2327, Our Lady of Victory Parish; the Moose Lodge in Compton; and the Elks Lodge in Fullerton.
During World War II he was a welder, working on battleships for Todd Shipyards in San Pedro.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Jean Page of Roseville; two sons, Charles “Chuck” Page Jr. of Yuba City and Stephen L. Page of Orange; a sister, Lucille Martin of Victorville; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son; a brother, Edward Page; and a grandson.
Services: A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, preceded by visitation starting at 4 p.m., at Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Fridayat the Sutter Cemetery Memorial Building, 7200 Butte Ave., Sutter. Rev. Loreto B. Rojas of St. Isidore Catholic Church will officiate.
