• What keeps you in the Yuba-Sutter area? My family, job and the small town feel it still has.

• Where would you like to live after retirement? Close to the beach or mountains (although my students suggest backstage or on the tour bus)

• What is the closest you've been to a famous person? Carol Channing outside the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and George Putnam on the televised news set.

• If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? Continued drive and health to do my best in everything.

• Favorite musical group: Right now, Daughtry

• Favorite television show: "House" and "American Idol"

• Favorite sports team: Gold Sox

• Who do you most admire and why? Go-getters, people who care, and the many people who, by example or otherwise, helped me grow and become the person I am today.

• Tell us about a life-changing experience: Becoming a mom and surviving breast cancer.

• What was your first job? Besides babysitting, assembly work with a medical supply manufacturer.

• What kind of pets do you have? Two golden retrievers, Annie and Stitches

• What was your favorite/least favorite subject in school? Favorites were drama and Physical education; least favorites, math and chemistry

• What are your favorite places to go in Yuba-Sutter/Mid-Valley/Sacramento area? Walking around Ellis Lake, picnic at Lake Francis and San Francisco.

• What is your dream job? I have it.

• What is your favorite part of the job? Knowing I make a difference in other's lives by helping them gain office and computer skills and to realize their own potential.
