1st Lt. Anthony Louis Chesini

Army National Guard 1st Lt. Anthony Louis Chesini is the son of Dawn and Larry Chesini of Meridian and twin brother to Noelle Chesini of San Diego.

Chesini attended Winship Elementary and Sutter Union High schools. He enjoyed all sports, especially basketball, football, fishing, hunting and bike riding. Chesini graduated from Sutter High in 2004 and attended New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell for two years. He was commissioned a second lieutenant in 2006.

Chesini resumed his education at the University of Nevada in Reno and joined the National Guard 221Cav in 2006. He completed his basic training at Fort Knox, Ky. He is also currently enrolled at CSU Chico.

Chesini serves as a platoon leader for security forces for a provincial reconstruction team and is stationed out of the Yerington, Nev., National Guard. He is deployed to Afghanistan.
