Christmas Stroll, 'Carol' among weekend holiday events
"Cowboy Christmas" is the theme of the 2012 Christmas Stroll on Plumas Street in downtown Yuba City, one of several holiday-related events this weekend in the community.
Set from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Friday, the event includes more than 100 vendors, three stages of entertainment, a Kids Zone and photos with Santa.
The stroll is sponsored by the Yuba City Downtown Business Association.
In addition, a tree lighting ceremony is at 6:30 p.m. at the city's water tower at Plumas near Bridge Street, sponsored by the Yuba City Parks and Recreation Department. Appeal-Democrat

Wheatland Christmas Fair — 5:30 p.m., tree lighting at 7 p.m., on Front Street, Wheatland. Sponsored by Wheatland Lions Club and the Downtown Business Association.
Yuba City Holiday Tree Lighting — 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 1201 Civic Center Blvd.
Saturday
Craft Fair — 7 a.m.-1 p.m., waffle and pancake breakfast to noon, at the Williams Community Church, Ninth and C streets, Williams. Sponsored by the Williams Cooperative Vacation Bible School. Cost for breakfast is $2 and $5.
Christmas Craft Fair — 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at The Spot, 10720 Live Oak Blvd., Yuba City. Sponsored The Father's House.
Yuba Gardens Vendor and Craft Fair — 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at 1964 11th Ave., Olivehurst.
Olivehurst Christmas Parade — 11 a.m. on Olivehurst Avenue, Olivehurst.

Breakfast with Santa — 8 a.m.-noon at the Veterans Memorial Building, 1425 Veterans Memorial Circle, Yuba City. Sponsored by Early Risers Kiwanis of Yuba City. Breakfast is free for ages 12 years and under; with a $5 donation requested for ages over 12 years.
"The Joy of Christmas" — 4 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Sampson Street and Rideout Way, Marysville. Presented by Yuba-Sutter Master Chorale. Tickets: $5 and $10.
