Dobbins

Adventists host Country Christmas

The Dobbins Seventh-day Adventist Church is hosting a country family Christmas program today, with music, refreshments and gifts for children.

Beginning at 3:30 p.m., the program is at the church, 10034 Marysville Road in Dobbins, in the Yuba County foothills. Admission is free.

The program should last about 90 minutes, with a variety of traditional Christmas songs played live.

Christmas Eve services planned

Christian churches throughout the community are having services on Monday, Christmas Eve.

Participating churchs include:

Twin Cities Rescue Mission – 3 p.m. at 940 14th St., Marysville.

Hope Point Nazarene – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Yuba City campus, 600 N. George Washington Blvd.; and 6 p.m. at the Live Oak campus, 2727 Fir St., Live Oak.

Colusa Trinity United Methodist Church – 5:30 p.m. at 511 Oak St.

Sutter Community Church – 6 p.m. at 2900 Acacia Ave., Sutter.

Calvary Christian Center – 6 p.m. at 2620 Colusa Highway, Yuba City.

Crossroads Community Church – 6 p.m. at 445 B St., Yuba City.

First Christian Church – 7 p.m. at 808 D St., Marysville.

St. John’s Episcopal Church – 7:30 p.m. at 800 D St., Marysville.

Sutter United Methodist Church – 8 p.m. at South Butte Road and Acacia Avenue, Sutter.

First United Methodist Church – 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. at 3101 Colusa Highway, Yuba City.

Marysville

Methodists host dinner

First United Methodist Church of Marysville is hosting its monthly free community dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday.

The dinner, open to the public, features a hot meal with refreshments.

Pets are prohibited.

Yuba City

New Year’s concert set

Inspirational music is featured in the New Year’s Eve Concert hosted by Crossroads Community Church, 445 B St., Yuba City.

The free event, starting at 7 p.m. Dec. 31, includes a chili, soup and cornbread cook-off, singer Dennis Agajanian and comedian Nazareth as well as games, food and desserts.
