Crossroads plans free concerts

Two free concerts are among the activities this month at Crossroads Community Church, 445 B St., Yuba City.

Scheduled are the Dixie Melody Boys Thursday and contemporary Christian artist Carman on Jan. 19.

Free concerts at the church also include the Crist Family on Feb. 14.

All three concerts are at 7 p.m.

The church is also hosting the Crossroads Comedy Banquet at 7 p.m. Feb. 8. The event includes a family style dinner.

Tickets are $10.

Card Party luncheon Feb. 2

The 28th annual Card Party luncheon hosted by Sacred Heart Sodality is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Feb. 2 at Maxwell Elementary School, 146 North St., Maxwell.

Set in the multipurpose room, card games include whist, bridge and pinochle.

Cost is $15 per person and includes a salad bar luncheon.

Wild game feed planned Jan. 26

Crossroads Community Church is serving its 22nd annual Wild Game Feed Jan. 26, with NCAA basketball coach Ron Bishop speaking at 6 p.m. before the dinner.

Bishop has won three National Collegiate Athletic Association championships.

The free dinner, at 8 p.m., includes deer, buffalo, bear, squirrel and alligator
