Ernest N. Olson

Ernest “Ernie” Norvel Olson, 77, of Union City died Jan. 9, 2006, at Masonic Home for Adults in Union City.


Born in Reedley, he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 35 years.


He was a meat cutter for Del Pero Mondon in Marysville; manager for Palace Meat Co. in Yuba City; and vice president and chief executive officer for King Food Services in Honolulu, Hawaii.


He was a member of Corinthian Hammonton Masonic Lodge, No. 9, in Marysville; the Aloha Temple and the Pearl Harbor Lodge, both in Honolulu; and the Silver Bow Masonic Lodge in Butte, Mont.


Survivors include his wife, Patricia L. Olson of Union City; two daughters, Patricia Anne Gildersleeve of Berkeley and Charm S. Cox of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.


Donations may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital - Northern California Unit, P.O. Box 214477, Sacramento, CA 95821-0477.


Services: A memorial service is Friday at Masonic Home for Adults in Union City.
