Nativity scenes going on display
Nativity scenes from throughout the world are featured in the 13th annual Creche Exhibit, or Nativity Scene Display, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Yuba City.
The exhibit is on view from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 3 and 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 4 at 1470 Butte House Road, Yuba City.
Admission is free.
The church is also hosting the Christmas Devotional broadcast from Salt Lake City, Utah, via satellite at 7 p.m. Dec. 4.

Advent Tea reservations due
Reservations are due by Friday for the seventh Annual Community Advent Tea hosted by Grace United Methodist Church at 3590 S. Walton Ave., Yuba City.
The event on Dec. 3 starts at 1:45 p.m., with a worship service at 2 p.m., followed by the tea.
A portion of the proceeds will go to the United Methodist Committee on Relief.

Christmas theater planned
Christmas Around the Table, a dessert theater with music and drama, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday and Dec. 3 at Crossroads Community Church, 445 B St., Yuba City.
The event includes carols and Christmas hymns, cheesecake, coffee and tea. Tickets are $6 per person.

Gift shopping for children set
Free gift wrapping and a parents’ waiting area are part of the Fifth Annual Children’s Christmas Boutique at Victory Chapel, 10615 Live Oak Blvd., Live Oak.
Children can shop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 3, with prices ranging from 10 cents to $3. Adults may shop from 2 to 3 p.m.
Proceeds will benefit the Helping Hands Ministry.

Scottish tartan blessing Dec. 4
Kirking of the Tartans is set at 9 a.m. Dec. 4 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Marysville.
The public is invited to bring a sample of their clan tartan to be blessed and celebrate their Scottish ancestry during the gathering of the clans.
A reception with Scottish dishes will follow the service.

Change for Tagalog Mass
A new time has been set for the monthly Tagalog Mass at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 222 Clark Ave., Yuba City.
The Tagalog, or Filipino, Mass will be said at 3 p.m. the first Sunday of each month starting Dec. 4 in the church’s Bishop Quinn Hall.
Refreshments will be served after the Mass.
