Occupation: Stampin' Up! demonstrator and webmaster.

Hobbies, interests: My hobby is my work — I teach rubber stamping and scrapbooking. It's difficult to separate my job and my interests.

Where do you get your news? Appeal-Democrat and mainly TV.

What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? My husband was stationed at Beale — we came from England. When we first got here we thought we had arrived because of the 24-hour gas stations and 24-hour grocery stores. We thought that was great.

What keeps you in the Yuba-Sutter area? We liked it here, it's a great place to be. One thing I like here is when you come up to a four-way stop, someone will wave you through. It doesn't matter who got there first.

If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? My one wish is to do what God wants me to do. I have everything I want.

Tell us about a significant event you've experienced: Being selected for the Heart of Stampin' Up award in 2005 is one of the highest honors I've ever received, and being asked to be on their advisory board in 2009.

Whom do you most admire? My husband, because he puts up with me every day.

Favorite places to go to in the area: I like home.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? Mostly I wanted to be an architect. I can remember being at my grandmother's house and drawing plans. I also wanted to be a fashion designer.

Favorite memory: Being with my mother on her 75th birthday on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, Scotland, when the queen passed by in her glass coach. We were not more than 15 feet away as she rode by. My mother had wanted to see the queen, something I didn't think possible, and, what happens? We run into the queen.

If you were in charge, what would you change about the community? I wish we had Trader Joe's.
