Letter: Flores should get Yuba City's council spot
Dan Flores, CEO and president of Cambridge Junior College, local businessmen and entrepreneur, submitted a resume and letter of intent to apply for the appointed position available on the Yuba City City Council.
It is not often that we find a person of Dan's talent willing to dedicate the time necessary to fulfill a position such as this for the betterment of his community. Here is a leader who purchased his first business in this community several years ago with a very small investment and loan and has gone nowhere but up. By making practical and often difficult decisions, Dan has successfully done nothing but improve the size and value of his businesses. Imagine the application of this entrepreneurship to the leadership of our city.
Dan has continually balanced his business life with time for his family and multiple civic responsibilities. The city councilmen of Yuba City have a chance before them to place a trailblazer who has had the responsibility of never missing a payroll for numerous years to help lead our city's future.
Let's not miss out on this opportunity.
