Family: Married to husband, Rory, for 33 years; four sons, Jeremy, Nathan, Gabriel and Kalob; six brothers and two sisters

What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? Born and raised in Yuba City

What keeps you here: Family, friends, commitment to a job I enjoy and my husband's commitment as a Yuba City city councilman

Where do you get your news? Appeal-Democrat, television and local radio stations

Hobbies and Interests: I like to travel, work out and dance zumba (which incorporates salsa, rumba, cha-cha and belly dancing). And, I love to eat what my husband cooks.

Do you have any pets? Four grown sons who still drop by for attention

What are some of your favorite childhood memories? Being raised on a ranch, my mom's garden, riding my bike through the orchards, swimming at Boyd's Pump and eating cherry plums

What were your favorite/least favorite subjects in school? Favorite, physical education; least, foreign language

Whom do you most admire and why? My husband, Rory. He is a great husband and father and is a wonderful role model for our four sons. I admire his commitment to our community also.

Where do you like to go for fun? Any place that is warm and sunny: Maui, Cabo, Costa Rica

Favorite book: “If Disney Ran Your Hospital”

Favorite part of your job? I enjoy working with our wonderful staff that makes a difference in people's lives every day, and I appreciate the kind and generous people who contribute to and support our foundation.

What was your first job? I ironed white uniform shirts for a cook on the ranch where I lived growing up. I earned 10 cents for each shirt I ironed. That was a lot of money in those days if I ironed 10 shirts. If I completed the shirts in just a couple of days, I would get an extra quarter.

What clubs and organizations are you involved with? Rotary Club of Yuba City; Pink October board member; Umpqua Bank; Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital Foundation board member; Y-S Chamber of Commerce member; Honorary Commander's Program at Beale Air Force Base; Fremont-Rideout Foundation's Heart Month Committee; Fairway to Health Golf Tournament Committee; Hospital Council of Northern and Central California, serving on the public advocacy advisory committee

Dream vacation: I would love to take a long cruise around the Mediterranean.
