Wedding: Cunningham/Burns

Christie Jayne Cunningham of Yuba City and Michael Lee Burns of Plumas Lake were married June 28 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Yuba City. Her father officiated the service.

A reception followed at Cornerstone Church in Yuba City.

The bride, daughter of Ken and Debbie Cunningham of Yuba City, had Tashina Hernandez of San Jose as maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Victoria McConnell of Yuba City, Lacey Spear of Rocklin, Aimee Finitzer of Seattle, Wash., and Alison Finitzer of Boston, Mass.

Attendants also included Maryn Indelicato as flower girl; Braden Indelicato as ring bearer; and Katrina and Lyndsay Catledge as candle lighters. All are residents of Yuba City.

The bride is a graduate of Simpson University and William Jessup University. She is employed as a kindergarten teacher at New Day Charter School.

The groom, son of John and Anita Burns of Sheridan, had his brother, John Burns Jr., also of Sheridan, as best man.

Groomsmen were Cody Goss of Lincoln, Brad Hanson of Rio Oso, Cole Noyes of Sheridan and the groom's cousin, Dustin Thompson of Durham.

Ushers were Bentley Nunes and the bride's brother, Nathan Cunningham, both of Yuba City.

The groom works as an abstractor for Central Valley Land Service.

The couple honeymooned in Monterey and are making a home at Plumas Lake.

HOMELESS SHELTER?
Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
