Letter: Yuba City veterans clinic falling shot

I agree with MaryAnn Gambino in her assessment of the VA clinic in Yuba City.

The clinic is overstaffed in the reception area and understaffed everywhere else, which means that some areas are left unused.

And with only one doctor on duty, there is always the chance your appointment could be changed due to lack of coverage by qualified personnel. It has happened to me.

I have been dealing with this clinic since last September concerning a medical issue.

I have been given information that was incorrect, have been promised that my phone calls would be returned and were not, and I am now traveling to Mather's clinic in Sacramento to receive treatment, something in hindsight I feel I should have done in the beginning.

While I do feel a clinic is justified to serve veterans in this area, this clinic falls short in its mission. Signed, me, frustrated vet.
