Army Pfc. Donald A. Singleton graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
He is a 2005 graduate of Marysville High School.

Air Force Airman Micah L. Schrotberger graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The son of Mark Schrotberger of Yuba City, he is a 2010 graduate of Faith Christian High School.

Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Thomas Q. Raya, son of Josefina Quintero and Angel Raya Soto of Arbuckle, recently reported for duty with Marine Air Support Squadron Two, Marine Air Control Group 18, Okinawa, Japan.
A 2010 graduate of Pierce High School, he joined the Marine Corps in August 2010.

The USS Nimitz Association is hosting its 14th annual reunion Oct. 26 to 29 in Pensacola, Fla.
The event also celebrates the 100th anniversary of naval aviation.
