Navy E-4 Jacob Martin Coulson

U.S. Navy E-4 Jacob Martin Coulson is the son of Chris and Julie Coulson of Marysville and brother to Christopher Coulson of San Diego, Gregory Bordsen of Fairfield and Tabitha, Ashley, Rita and Laura of Marysville. He is also the grandson of Joe and Lyn Coulson of Maryland, the late Carl and Carolyn Martin of Marysville, and Greg and Francene Darling of Florida.

Coulson attended Marysville High School and was active in football, track and swimming. He graduated June 2008 and joined the Navy in July.

Coulson completed recruit training at Great lakes, Ill. He graduated from "A" School with distinction at Naval Weapons Station Charleston, Goose Creek, S.C., as a nuclear machinist mate.

He is currently attending power school and is scheduled for prototype training this October. He will be assigned to a nuclear submarine upon graduation.
