Felony Arrests

Sarah Nichole Burton, 24, a homeless Yuba City resident, was arrested by the Department of Corrections at 2:10 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 900 block of Gray Avenue on suspicion of being a felon in possession of tear gas. She was booked into Sutter County Jail.

Timothy Maurice Anderson, 20, of the 5000 block of Chestnut Road, Olivehurst, was arrested at 3:23 p.m. Wednesday and Eddie Lamont Washington Jr., 21, of the 6000 block of Gossett Way, Linda, was arrested at 3:11 p.m. Wednesday by the Yuba County Sheriff's Department at Shasta Way and Gossett Way on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon with great bodily injury, not using a firearm. They were booked into Yuba County Jail.

Influence arrests

John Kahnas Simmons, 35, of North Highlands, was arrested at 12:11 a.m. Thursday by the Wheatland Police Department at Sixth and B streets. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.

Mark Allen Merritt, 40, of Citrus Heights, was arrested at 10:05 p.m. Wednesday by the California Highway Patrol at Highway 65 and McGowan Parkway. He was booked into Yuba County Jail.
