Briefs: Marysville domestic abuser's prison term upheld
The two-year prison sentence for a Marysville man's second spousal abuse conviction has been upheld by a state court.
Roger Carl Oney, 48, was arrested last June 2 after law enforcement officers arrived at his home in response to a domestic violence report.
He pleaded no contest to spousal abuse, was found ineligible for probation and sentenced to state prison.
The Sacramento-based 3rd District Court of Appeal in a ruling released Monday affirmed the Yuba County Superior Court judgment.
Board meeting on Robbins sewer rates today
The Sutter County Board of Supervisors will hold a specific hearing tonight on whether to adjust rates on sewer bills for residents of Robbins.

The supervisors will meet as the governing board for Water Works District No. 1 at 7 p.m. at Robbins Elementary School, 17451 Pepper St.
