Letter: Hispanic festival deemed a success

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

On June 28, the South Yuba County Economic and Improvement Committees presented the Hispanic Family Resource Festival at Washington Park in Marysville.

Even though it was 111 degrees we had a great group of county, city, U.S. government, nonprofit, Realtors, mortgage, insurance, legal counsul, health, business and children programs available to the community for information.

Our special thanks to the Mexican Counsul General of Sacramento, Yuba County Sheriff Department and Sheriff Steve Durfor, Yuba County Supervisor Mary Jane Griego, radio station LA Gran X 97.7  KHHZ, and many others.

We would also like to thank Duke’s Diner, Rite-Aid and Tower Market – all in Olivehurst –and Country Florist for our May 28 hot dog and Ice-cream social.

Vera Correa, co-chair
Olivehurst
