Yuba City residents Bill and Karen Crocker, the former Karen Cunningham, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with family in San Jose.

The couple met while working in a research laboratory at Riley Hospital for Children on the Indiana University Medical School campus in Indianapolis, Ind.

They were married Oct. 6, 1962, in Indianapolis, Ind., and have been Yuba-Sutter residents for 23 years. They formerly lived in Campbell for 17 years.

He retired from the US Navy and health care administration.

She retired after 22 years as a library technician at Sutter County library, Sutter branch.

They are members of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Yuba City and enjoy activities with their friends and family.

Their family includes two children, Dan Crocker and Lynn Crocker, both of San Jose, and two grandchildren.
