• What is your dream job? I have cleaned homes for the better part of 10 years — it would be a kick to go to the White House and spend a day with the cleaning crew.
• Hobbies, interests: Love to hand sew, crochet, love spending time with my family
• Where do you get your news? Mainly from 104FM radio
• What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? Originally from here, I moved away for a short while and returned when I was 17 years old.
• What keeps you in the Yuba-Sutter area? Family and job and the church
• If you were in charge, what would you change about the community? I would encourage people to get more involved with the homeless outreach that is going on in the area.
• What is the closest you've been to a famous person? (Actor) Sidney Poitier signed a Bible I had when I was 12 years old. My mother went to watch a movie being made here in the Linda area.
And I met Chris Webber at his restaurant, Center Court, in Sacramento about two months ago. We went there for dinner and he was there ... he went table to table.
• Who do you most admire and why? I met a woman who spoke at the Calvary Christian Center women's retreat — she is a breast cancer recoverer.
• What was your first job? I was 13, back in Massachusetts, working at a local drugstore's soda fountain. I was scared to death.
• What are your favorite places to go in Yuba-Sutter area? My husband and I like to take motorcycle rides around the Sutter Buttes.
• What was the last good book you read? "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers
• Favorite type of music: Contemporary Christian music
• Favorite television show: I used to watch "M.A.SH." a lot.
• Favorite movie: "Pride and Prejudice" — my youngest daughter likes watching Jane Austen movies.
