What is your favorite part of the job? To be able to diagnose what is wrong with a car. It's a great feeling.

Hobbies: I like race cars, boating, camping and the NFL. And amusement parks. My 9-year-old daughter and I went 28 times last year. It kept her happy. I'm a single dad.

Where do you get your news? The Appeal-Democrat, Channel 3 news and online.

What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? I used to live in Santa Cruz, and every weekend I used to come up here to water ski, and in the winter, snow ski. With the amount of time I was here, I decided it was time to stay.

What is the closest you've been to a famous person? Whoopi Goldberg — she gave us a tour of Universal Studios. I know the owner of Orange County Choppers. I have a friend who is a record producer and I sat three feet from B.B. King several times.

If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? To be rich enough to work because I want to, not because I have to. I'd want my kids to grow up and be successful.

Favorite sports team: (San Francisco) 49ers — I have two buddies who used to play on the team, Jeff Stover and Mike Sherrard, and I get tickets to see the games.

What was your first job? Running heavy equipment. My dad owned an excavation, backhoe and dump truck service. And I learned from him.

Favorite places in the Yuba-Sutter area: Me and my daughter like to ride bicycles to the Buttes.

What is your dream job? To be a boss of an automotive shop.

What are your favorite foods? Mexican food is my favorite.

If there was one thing you could change about the community? That children have people listen to them more.

Favorite TV show: Anything on the Disney Channel. My daughter loves watching it.
