• What keeps you in the Yuba-Sutter area? Friendly people, great climate and easy access to fun destinations

• Favorite television show: "Two and a Half Men"

• Favorite sports team: Chicago Cubs

• What was your first job? I worked early Sunday mornings at a Chicago newspaper agency where I "stuffed" the comics and insert packages into the newspapers, then banded or bagged them for home delivery.

• How would you describe yourself? A springer spaniel on rock candy and Red Bull

• If you were in charge, what would you change about the community? I would combine both cities and call it Yubaville, Marys City or perhaps, Bensonhurst.

• What kind of pets do you have? Two houseplants, Leif and Helmut

• What were your favorite/least favorite subjects in school? I enjoyed my political science curriculum in college. My favorite class was "The Effects of Global Thermo Nuclear War." My least favorite was physics.

• What are your favorite places to go in the Mid-Valley area? I love being at the ball park. All Seasons RV Stadium would make a great office for me.

• What is your dream job? Talk show host

• What is your favorite part of the job? I like getting out into the community, speaking to groups and organizations, hearing new ideas and being innovative.

• Do you belong to any clubs or organizations in the community? I'm on the board of directors for the Fremont-Rideout Foundation and the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce. I'm a member of Marysville Rotary, Beale Military Liason Committee and I served on the United Way Allocations Committee.

• What are some of your fondest memories? I was raised by wolves so probably howling at the moon, which seems pointless now.

• What are your favorite foods? I love cheese.

• Do you a nickname? No, unless name-calling counts.

• What was the last good book you read? "Wild at Heart"

• Favorite book: I refer to Sun Tzu's "Art of War" a lot.

• Favorite movie: "Godfather" for drama, "Princess Bride" for comedy.

• Tell us about a life-changing experience: I got a perm in the 70s. I looked like a blonde Carrot Top. I couldn't get a hat on!

• What is your worst fear? Getting a leg cramp during the running of the bulls in Pamplona.
